It’s built for weddings that want a twist. Corporate events that need a closer. Guests who appreciate a proper coffee and something sweet. And planners who’ve seen every plated dessert and lukewarm urn pour there is.

No two vendors are serving this right now — and no one is doing it like us.

We scoop premium gelato to order — usually vanilla or chocolate (you’ll choose). Then, right in front of your guests, we pour over a shot of fresh Will & Co espresso. It hits hot, melts into the cold, and turns into one of those rare, rare things: a dessert people actually talk about.

They get a choice of toppings — crushed biscotti, pistachios, chocolate curls. Served in ceramic cups or tubs, depending on your style.

And here’s the thing: it fits everywhere.
Post-dinner weddings. Pre-dancefloor resets. Italian family affairs. Christmas parties. High-end retail activations. Intimate backyard moments.
It’s indulgent but fast. Elegant but fun. And when the setup’s right, it becomes a visual anchor for the whole event.

What exactly is an affogato?

An affogato is a scoop of gelato topped with a freshly poured shot of espresso — dessert meets coffee in a single cup. We scoop vanilla or chocolate gelato to order, then pour over hot espresso for a bold, creamy, unforgettable moment.

How is the affogato served?

We scoop gelato to order into a cup (ceramic or compostable, depending on the event), then pour a shot of espresso directly over the top. Guests can also choose from toppings like crushed biscotti, pistachios, or chocolate curls to finish it.

Can you serve affogato as an add-on to coffee?

Yes — this is what we call a hybrid cart. If your main booking is for a coffee cart, we can bring pre-scooped vanilla gelato in individual cups and pour espresso over them during service. Just let us know how many you’d like in advance so we can plan accordingly.

Can we serve coffee from the affogato cart?

No — our affogato cart isn’t a full coffee cart. It’s built specifically for scooping gelato and pouring espresso, not for standard coffee service. If you want both, we recommend booking a coffee cart and adding affogato on top.

Do you need power or anything else from the venue?

Yes — we require 1 x 10amp power source and access to a flat, shaded space for setup. We bring everything else: the espresso machine, the freezer, the stock, and the style

Is this suitable for outdoor or summer events?

We can — but it’s not our first preference.

Because we’re dealing with gelato, espresso machines, power, and perishable ingredients, outdoor setups introduce extra risk. If your event is outdoors, we’ll need to be placed on a flat, hard surface (no lawn or gravel), with some protection from wind, sun, and rain.

For winter events, a wet-weather plan must be arranged by the organiser in advance. Extreme heat or high winds can slow service, and food safety comes first — so we’ll always advise if something needs to shift on the day.

Easy-access parking close to the setup area is also essential. If we’re required to park off-site, additional staffing or logistics costs may apply. We’ll talk this through during quoting and make sure we get it right.

How many flavours can we offer?

We keep it simple and classic — vanilla and chocolate are our base flavours. These two pair beautifully with espresso and keep service flowing smoothly. If you have a specific flavour request, we’re open to discussing options.

Can we book this as a standalone cart?

Absolutely. The affogato experience can be booked on its own and is typically served from one of our gelato carts — equipped with cold storage for scooping and an espresso machine for service. It’s a full visual and sensory moment.

How long do you need to set up?

We usually arrive 60 minutes before service. That gives us time to bump in, style the cart, test equipment, and brief the team. If your event has stricter access times, just let us know — we’ll adjust accordingly.

How many guests can you serve per hour?

We can typically serve 80–100 affogatos per hour depending on your setup and service flow. Toppings and guest interaction may slow this slightly, so we’ll advise on ideal staffing when quoting.

Can we brand the cups or signage?

Yes. We offer custom branding for cups, menus, signage, and the cart itself. Whether you want a subtle logo or a full wrap, we’ll help integrate your brand into the experience.
